Mystique Island of Siquijor

Okay. This is a super late post. To be exact, a 2 month old post. (hihihi i got caught up with so many things..hihi) Anyway, this is, i could say, one of the most memorable trip i had yet experienced. All the travel, the heat, the fun, not to mention the FOOD !, the beach and everything about this trip.

Last June 8, me and my family decided to have a little trip of our own, to celebrate my father's 50th birthday. The place my father chose is the Mystique Island of Siquijor. Siquijor is situated in the Visayas, a small island near Dumaguete. It has been called Mystique Island because it has been widely known to all Filipinos about sorcerers and those kinds of mysteries. Of course, at first i had fear, what if? But, all of them was gone, all the fear was replaced with amazement of how lovely, clean and refreshing the place is. The whole island is small, comprising of only 6 municipalities. The whole island can be toured for a day.. One thing that get's you grit your teeth about the place, the heat, Ugh! too hot! Because Siquijor is surrounded with water, it is very humid.. Even our room with a full blast Air Conditioner on could not even help.

Well, i think i've said enough about the place.. Might as well let the picture speak of how beautiful, majestic and Mystical the place is...

First of, from Cagayan de Oro city, Touchdown, Cebu City !! :)) i took this photo while still on board.. What a view :)

Inside the bus, we were originally bound for Dumaguete to catch a ferry on our way to Siquijor Island..

But instead, we dropped off in Oslob, Cebu. Did you know that this place is now slowly gaining recognition, because of the "Butanding" that somehow is showing itself to the locals.

Look at the happy travelers.. Happy? Tired? hahahaha !

After about 2 hours of ferry ride, finally we have reached our destination! Siquijor!!!! (this is the port of Larena, the hmmmm, point of trade and everything else in Siquijor. That's my nephew..)

Because we arrived around 12noon, and the sun was so high it actually melts your brain, we opted to roam around Larena during the afternoon, when it's more comfortable to walk around town. We've discovered a place on top of the mountain that actually is a small restaurant.. (actually, my father discovered the place) and so we decided to went up there and have our Snack/Dinner there.. When we reached the placed, my jaw dropped. Let me show you the pictures of the view :)

Family bonding, eh?

Sister, your face. :)

Happy Family. Love you ! :D

It was actually already dark when we all went down... uli na mi.. thank you TRIAD !

and so the next day, we went to Salagdoong together with tatay's friend and family.. hehe. :) I was so fascinated with the beauty of Salagdoong. After salagdoong we tour all over Siquijor. Enjoy!!
